Be Helpful and Caring

            There are so many people in America that don’t really know all the privileges they have. In third world countries there are people that treat individuals like slaves. We are so lucky to have freedom in America. How can I encourage my friends to be more thoughtful and caring? Three things I can do are: showing them the things that we can do in America others can’t, tell them about other countries that experience hardships every day, and tell them about how we have overcome so many things.

            First, I can show them the things that we are able to do in American others can’t. We can wear just about anything and we will not get in trouble or be killed for it., most of the time. Freedom of speech has been given to us so we can say what’s on our mind and we will not be brought down. The store is right down the street for most people, and we can just walk down there and get something we really need. It is not against the law to go outside and play with friends. Going on the Internet, watching television, playing video games and going to the movies are things we are able to do for fun or if we need information. We can do so many things that individuals in other countries might not be able to do.

            Next, I will tell them about other countries that experience hardships every day. In many places people are starving and they only get a tiny bit of food every once in awhile. Starving to death, disease, sickness and wars are killing many of them. We really don’t understand what a hardship is because we might experience one once in our life, but they experience them all the time. Getting used to it is out of the question because it destroys them in every way. Some people in America are trying to help those in need with charities and donations.

            Last, I can help them to know how we have overcome so many things. Wars, famine, slavery, and the government have brought our country down many times. We have overcome those trials and have become very strong. Many things are still going on that could be the end of us, but we are pulling through. Helping others is very important whether it is ourselves or others. Making a difference can and will change the lives of many.

            In conclusion, there are so many people who are in need of help. The three things I can do to help our nations and close individual understand how lucky we are include; showing them the things that we can do in America others can’t, tell them about other countries that experience hardships every day, and tell them about how we have overcome so many things. Helping others changes lives and the lookouts they have on things.
